YOUR CAMPUS BIKE CO-OP

UVM Bikes! is a student run bicycle co-operative at the University of Vermont. We are dedicated to increasing the accessibility of bicycles to the UVM community, and teaching folks the skills they need to confidently maintain and repair their bikes.

The Shop

The UVM Bikes! shop space is free to use for anyone affiliated with the University of Vermont (students, faculty, & staff). We have all the tools and small parts you’ll need for any common bike repairs.

We stock an abundance of common parts — inner-tubes, brake pads, chains, cables, cable housing, and chain lube — and carry a limited supply of additional parts and accessories, such as tires and locks. We also have a large selection of well-loved used parts laying around. All new parts and accessories are available for purchase at affordable prices.

Location & Hours

The UVM Bikes! shop is located at the bottom of the north stairwell of the Hills Building, just inside from the parking lot opposite Rowell Hall.

Our address is: 105 Carrigan Dr Burlington, VT 05405

The shop is open for regular hours during the standard UVM Academic Calendar year, and closed on all UVM recognized holidays and breaks, as well as during finals weeks.

Regular Hours: Mon-Fri, 10am-3pm
Summer Hours: Fri, 10am-3pm

Bicycle Rentals

Rental bikes are repurposed, recycled, and revived bikes that have been given new life by our team of dedicated volunteers.

UVM Bikes! offers quality rental bicycles to UVM students at affordable rates, because we believe every student should have access to a bicycle. Bicycles are rented on a semester basis. See our Bicycle Rental FAQs page for more information.

Additional bikes are available to rent for a day or weekend, including a tandem bike, 10 touring bikes, and a few basic mountain bikes.

Volunteer Mechanics

Our volunteers are what make the bike co-op possible — without them our tires would be forever flat and our chains forever rusty.

Our volunteer mechanics work with you, not for you. They help you fix your bike, teaching you the skills you need to know to get the job done along the way. Our volunteer mechanics also help maintain our fleet of rental bikes, ensuring they ride safe and smooth.

If you would like to volunteer in the shop, see the volunteer page for more details.
